- Mom: Hi, we're on the thruway so we'll be home in a bit. So what did'ja decide to make with the crab cakes?
- Me: I thought I'd make a strawberry salad.
- Mom: Oh, do ya think they'd still have romaine on shelves in the store if it's bad?
- Me: If it's bad? What are you talking about?
- Mom: Like the romaine lettuce -- if it's bad they wouldn't sell it in the store right?
- Me: OH, you mean like, there was a recall or something?
- Mom: Yeah.
- Me: Ok I'll just get spring greens instead or whatever.
- Mom: Well if they're selling the romaine in the store then I'm sure it's probably fine. Did you start the chopping of the stuff yet?

Hey Alex, how are things going? Lets talk later about Sunday dinner later - whatever you decide to make, I would like shrimp cocktail as an appetizer for sure, I have an urge for it. Sweet Pea has them cleaned already and I’ll give you the money for it, maybe 6 each ?? Do you have any ideas for dinner ?

I made fajitas and guacamole for Mom. She walked in the door at 5:30 and I had this ready like a champ.
